About

Lai Yin writes about marriage, motherhood, householding, physiology, travel, and power.

麗賢

Born in Hong Kong, she attended school and university in Canberra and Melbourne before returning to Hong Kong for a career in retail, sales, and private banking.

She met her husband in Hong Kong, where they married and started a family.

She now lives in Europe with her husband and daughters.

SHEHOLDS 她拿著 explores how women create gravity inside a house and how that gravity shapes life.

Her writing moves between daily life, relationships, physiology, family, travel, and the structures that create stability, belonging, and calm.

Before becoming a writer, Lai Yin and her husband spent years leading seminars and coaching people through personal and professional transformation.

Years of observing the relationship between attention, responsibility, attachment, and embodied power in her own life led to the development of Placement 放置, a somatic method published through SSRN | ssrn.com/author=8773500 .

For readers interested in the framework beneath the writing, the work on Power, Gravity 重力, and Placement 放置 can be found throughout the publication.

Notes from Lai Yin

Most weeks I publish a new essay.

Sometimes it is about food.
Sometimes it is about daughters.
Sometimes it is about marriage, travel, sex, grief, aging, dogs, airports, or finding home in a new country.

Subscribers receive new essays, book updates, and occasional research notes from my work on Somatic Power, Gravity 重力 and Placement 放置.
